i feel the vibe before i see it
a banner violently signalling the intrusion
a tiny red dot mocking my uncertainty
knowing i can’t resist its secrets

why do i have to remember everything every time
and then play nice

if you knew how much cortisol
would run screaming through my body
when you remind me you exist
would you have been more careful?

at least you gave me something valuable
the ability to end a generational curse
before it can do more damage
